about

Greetings. This is my personal websight of which I use to upload and showcase my work, and to blog about important matters like learning people how to use image-editing tools like the Adobe pack.

about me

I have been doing detailed backgrounds and stuff that requires a lot of concentration since I was little. I can remember doing all kinds of extremely detailed dashboards for yellow submarines, cars and airplanes when I was younger, and I always wanted to make them as cool and realistic as possible. I really love technical things like circuit boards, gears, pneumatics, geometry and I adore people who are good at CAD, and knows how to create stunning images with a great sense of colour.

curriculum vitae and education

I have a CV available at Manpower (Norwegian work agency), as well as one at Finn (which is like the Norwegian Craigslist, of all things). As I am always experiencing and gaining knowledge and shifting tools, my CVs might not be properly updated, but you can always contact about it.

what I like to work on
  1. Very detailed backgrounds and technical designs, often related to near future sci/fi
  2. Computer aided design (!)
  3. Quasi-realism as seen in the Production I.G movies "Jin-Roh", "Ghost in the shelf" and "Innocence"
  4. Weird or strange things that are slightly amusing and/or confusing
  5. Things in bright and bold colours
  6. The occasional comic where I try to overdo myself with attention to detail on each page
  7. Renditions of my imaginary character Maja
  8. Things related to fooling around with web development stuff
  9. Computers, from building them to destroying them
  10. Research for cool stuff
what I dislike to work on
  1. Stereotypical manga/anime style
  2. Fan-art
  3. LOTR-like fantasy
  4. Vector tracing (but it can be ok for learning purposes)
  5. Charicatures
my top 10 movies in random order

2001: A space odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Pulp Fiction, Flåklypa Grand Prix, End of Evangelion, Der Untergang, Ghost in the Shelf, Gits 2: Innocence, and Die Hard.

about this site

This is finally it.:3 The version where I have got dynamic content over the static mess I had before. It is supposed to be really minimalistic, with the main focus on the content in form of images and text. The design philosophy behind this design was first and foremost to emulate some issues of the British gaming magazine EDGE, and to show that light on dark can be a good style when handling content. I prefer light on dark over dark on light styles because it goes so much easier on the eye.

website versus websight

"Hello and welcome to my websight" is a joke I have seen on the internet on various image boards and discussion fora. It is sometimes used mockingly about people with little grasp of English, or sometimes to be witty and clever.
